Texas A&M Aggies news: A&M could catch fire once more on recruiting trail, Bucky's ceiling keeps getting higher
Here's your Texas A&M Aggies news for June 25, 2025.
Texas A&M looking to close out 2 2026 offensive line targets
The Aggies have been on a real hot streak on the recruiting front lately. They've added a pair of five-stars, and are in the mix for even more than that.
However, they still only have one offensive lineman committed in their now-19-person class. OT Samuel Roseborough was a big win over Texas and more, but the Aggies are looking to add a couple of more names to the class today.
Two targets for the Aggies look like they'll be committing today. OG Avery Morcho has teased a "big announcement" for today at 1 PM central, while OT Aaron Thomas has said he is making his decision today.
Both are three-stars with super-high growth potential, especially Thomas. If the Aggies can land both, it will be a massive win.
Aggies could add QB of future soon with 2027 making decision
The Aggies are cleaning up in 2026, but they're also looking to add some commits from the rising junior class. 2027 QB Jayce Johnson has set a decision date for the beginning of August, and the Aggies are in a favorable position.
The 6'4", 210 LB quarterback is a load to bring down, and is one of the highest-rated prospects in Georgia according to On3. This would be big for the Aggies, as getting a ringleader QB committed early in the process can give you a heck of a lot of momentum, and with 2027 being a super-talented class in Texas, the Ags would love to get started early.
Bucky McMillan year-one ceiling growing
Joe Lunardi seemed down on the Aggies not long after Bucky got the job there, which was understandable given the fact that A&M had no players. However, now that McMillan has pulled off heist after heist in the portal, it seems Joey Brackets' mind is changing.
He has bumped A&M from a team out of the tournament to a squad barely making the cut in his latest bracketology. Of course, we have yet to see this team play together, but this is a good sign of the growing faith in McMillan around the country.
