Bucky McMillan and Texas A&M Basketball travel to Nashville tomorrow night to take on the winner of the matchup between South Carolina and Oklahoma. The Aggies are coming into the game with a 21-10 overall record, 11-7 in SEC play, and 43rd in the NET rankings. Neither matchup would likely end up as a quad 1 game for the Aggies as Oklahoma is currently 52nd in the NET rankings. If they play South Carolina, that actually end up being a quad 3 matchup since they are ranked 105th in the NET.

The Aggies seem to be safely in the NCAA Tournament at this point. Most brackets have the Aggies as a 9 or a 10 seed at this point. A loss would tomorrow would likely place them as a 10 seed, or worst case, an 11 seed with a bye. Personally, I would rather see the Aggies as a 10 seed simply because of how good the likely 1 seeds are this year. Don't get me wrong, the likely 2 seeds are excellent, but beatable.

Texas A&M searching for best case March Madness scenario with SEC Tournament starting soon

The Aggies have seen both of these teams before. But, it's pretty clear that they'd rather take on Sauth Carolina than Oklahoma. Yes, they've beaten the Sooners twice, but both we're very close games that easily could've gone the other way.

The Sooners have out rebounded the Aggies in both matchups, and are riding a 4 game win streak coming into the game. On the other hand, the Aggies killed the Gamecocks in the regular season. Despite the season long struggles, the Gamecocks won their most recent game at Ole Miss. Hopefully they can pull off the upset tonight.

The Aggies will likely be favored against either team that they play tomorrow. And they should. With how they've played recently, and their track record in close games, the Aggies should definitely take care of business tomorrow., but they'll need to continue doing what they do best.

The recipe for any Aggie victory this season has been forcing turnovers, holding your own on the glass, and knocking down 3s. Rylan Griffen has been a huge part of the later reason as he's absolutely dominated in his past two games. If the Aggies can continue to see production from guys like Agee, Isaacs, Dominguez, and Hill, there's no reason we won't be watching them again on Friday night.

The Aggies are hoping for a hot start as they enter the postseason, and a win tomorrow would be great for their confidence heading into the NCAA Tournament. Check back late tomorrow after the game for our full reaction and analysis of tomorrow's SEC second round game.
