Following the round of 32 loss against Michigan, there were questions about Buzz Williams' future at Texas A&M.
As some of us expected, with most of his guys being seniors and graduates last season, Buzz accepted the head coaching job at Maryland as a way of starting fresh instead of having to begin a new project in College Station.
Now, with Bucky McMillan winning in the portal, he can make a move that could have Maryland fans steaming.
Aggies could steal two players from state of Maryland away from Buzz
Nieko Mundey is a bit of a mystery, but he has a nice stepback jumper to his game. He's a four-star player of out of Maryland, and even though he hasn't heard directly from Buzz, there has to be talk about him amongst the Maryland staff considering he's the number two player in the state.
Bucky McMillan and his staff have offered 2026 guard Neiko Mundey from Maryland, a four-star prospect who is a top-60 player in his class.

The No. 2 player in Maryland also holds offers from Illinois, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, etc. https://t.co/qaYSkC3tlo
At 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds, Mundey has some height to make up for, but his body makes for great speed off the dribble.
Another player that Bucky has his eye on is in the 2027 class is J'Lon Lyons. Lyons is similarly built to Mundey at 6 feet tall, 160 pounds. He's also got awards to prove his worth.

Was named All-Metro Honorable Mention by the Washington Post during his sophomore season. https://t.co/3kKNVkbTK8
Of course, this is Bucky looking to the future, but with Buzz pulling off his own by stealing away big man Pharrel Payne, it's time for Bucky to take some away from the Old Line State.
As long as Bucky continues to win in the portal, and eventually on the court, he'll make College Station look attractive, and the future recruits will follow.
