After Buzz Williams left Texas A&M for Maryland, it seems like it's been an absolute dream offseason for Texas A&M basketball.

With new head coach Bucky McMillan starting strictly from scratch, he has made some of the best offseason additions in Texas A&M basketball history. Of course, that's easy to say considering that he started working from the ground up, but his name in college basketball is already becoming one that the rest of the SEC has on their radar.

The new addition of Pop Isaacs from Creighton gives McMillan a new rising star to work with. Here's why he's already perfect under McMillan's system.

Isaacs' offensive talent already speaks volumes to 'Bucky Ball'

Isaacs comes into Texas A&M as his third school in his collegiate career. His first stint with Texas Tech was a successful one, as he was recognized as a Third-team All-Big 12 player following the 2024 season.

Unfortunately, Isaacs played in just eight games for Creighton before ending his season with a hip injury. The major takeaway was that before his season-ending injury, he was balling at a terrific pace with one of the premier programs in college basketball.

At 6-foot-2, Isaacs is not afraid of taking shots in the biggest games. Aggie fans probably remembering him torching Texas A&M last season for 25 points, going 5-10 from deep. His threat as a catch-and-shoot player is something McMillan can work with.

After all, 'Bucky Ball' is all about running the offense at a fast-paced tempo. Isaacs and McMillan are almost a match in heaven, given McMillan's philosophy and Isaacs' phenomenal offensive talent.

Isaacs might even lead the team in scoring for next season, and with Mackenzie Mgbako staying at Texas A&M, the two stars should be competing in a friendly battle on the hardwood for that team scoring title next season.
