Texas A&M has done wonders in the portal, and with the puzzle almost complete to compete in the SEC next year, Bucky McMillan has quietly stolen another hidden gem.

McMillan's looking to make a statement not just in his first year, but it's clear that he's redefining the the A&M basketball program with new and improved resources. There was plenty of criticism last season about their lack of fan attendance, and McMillan's already helping the team look more exciting and attractive.

McMillan just signed a consistent sharpshooter from Spain. Ruben Dominguez has been a pro player coming off a FIBA Europe Cup Championship, and now he's an Aggie.

Dominguez's sharpshooting provides key area of need for Aggies

Dominguez is already a 22-year-old pro that has seen championship basketball. His experience is needed in the locker room for the rest of these college kids that haven't experienced pro ball yet.

While Texas A&M was one of the best offensive rebounding teams last year, the Aggies couldn't get three-point shooting or free throw shooting right. Dominguez is a deadeye shooter from beyond the arc, making for some incredible numbers.

This is an amazing signing by McMillan and his staff. Bringing in an international pro is one thing, but for him to help out with the shooting woes that A&M had last season is a major upgrade.

Nothing can make up for what Wade Taylor IV did, especially by becoming the all-time leading scorer in team history. It might be a while until we see a player with a mixture of talent and loyalty again, but McMillan's short-term project is looking really good.
