The Texas A&M Aggies are keeping up with the elite of the SEC.

Even though the South Carolina Gamecocks have not won a game in SEC play, this was still no doubt going to be a rough and tough game for the Ags. Offensive rebounding was still emphasized, but their star player getting going from beyond the arc was the main story in the Aggie win.

Their star, Wade Taylor IV has done his best to get off a shooting slump. He solved any concern about that against South Carolina by going for a personal best in an impressive road win.

Taylor IV marks career best on perimeter shooting for Texas A&M basketball

Taylor IV's shooting was needed against South Carolina, and the Aggies got exactly that.

His remarkable stepback jumper seemed unstoppable, and the Gamecocks couldn't do anything to slow him down as he marked a career best seven 3-pointers.

Taylor IV's shooting is something even bigger for this Aggies team. They have Zhuric Phelps, arguably one of the greatest transfers in the country on a heater this season. Manny Obaseki has had his moments, including a game-winning shot that sent Ole Miss fans in shock.

Texas A&M's bread and butter came from offensive rebounds, and while they stuck to that same plan, the guard play for Texas A&M is in a safe spot right now.

Taylor IV's shooting is now a weapon for against other SEC teams. Aggie fans just better hope he brings that same energy to Tennessee, Florida and Auburn.

The Aggies will get Missouri next week with their toughest stretch coming in less than a month from now.
