Texas A&M basketball has added LSU guard Jalen Reece out of the portal, a hot-shooting backcourt player who was one of the lone bright spots for the Tigers down the stretch of the previous season. This comes on the heels of the news from earlier today that the Aggies had picked up a commitment from G-League guard Bryson Warren.

In his final eight games of SEC play, the 6-foot freshman averaged 12.0 points and 6.8 assists, shooting 37% from three. https://t.co/xMB402KCPk pic.twitter.com/jeArzHXOA0
Reece recorded 51 minutes against the Aggies in the double-overtime game in Baton Rouge in early March, notching 17 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. He is a classic case of a player that is going to thrive in a role on a better team, as opponents were able to dedicate an inordinate amount of attention to him since they didn't have to worry as much about the rest of LSU's roster.

Reece pairing with PJ Haggerty and Bryson Warren makes this one of the most formidable guard combinations in the entire country. Combined with the schematic genius that is Bucky Ball, the Aggies are about to be one of the toughest teams to play in the nation.
Mackenzie Mgbako's return figures in big here as well. The Aggies having his presence in the front court will be huge, especially alongside Cade Phillips, the Tennessee transfer.
If the Aggies could stand to add a player at another position, it would probably be out at wing. The Aggies don't have a whole lot of options there right now outside of Zach Clemence.
Bucky McMillan has been doing such a bang-up job in the portal, though, that it seems almost assured that he'll make an addition at that spot very soon. Hopefully, the Aggies can continue to round out what is looking to be one of the most intimidating rosters in the entire country.
