After the round of 32 loss to Michigan, it took a while for it to hit us that a completely different team would be on display next season for Texas A&M basketball. Even though we knew all season long that the veterans were the main keys to the ignition, it shouldn't have ended like it did for the Aggies.

With Buzz Williams now in Maryland, it's time for a new era with Bucky McMillan. He helped snag theformer 5-star player in McKenzie Mgbako, the former Indiana Hoosier who was understandably looking for a new home. With now an established history of being an attractive program, the next step is to help fill a major void next season.

Aggies badly need Texas Tech transfer Federiko Federiko to fill size

With Andersson Garcia and Henry Coleman III moving on next season, there is a need for a big man to help fill the role of Texas A&M staying solid as one of the best offneisve rebounding teams in the nation.

There's also been interest for Auburn and Indiana. Even though Auburn is unlikely to replace a player like Johni Broome, Federiko would be nice addition. Indiana has been a program that hasn't adjusted well during the transfer portal era.

In College Station, Federiko would thrive as someone to regularly get at least 25 minutes a game. For his career in minutes, he's always stayed under or around 20 minutes, so that's definitely one incentive that Bucky should definitely offer to him.

While it will be hard to replace guys that are all in like Garcia and Coleman III, the Aggies need to address replacing those two rebounding juggernauts, and Federiko could help them do just that.
