Texas A&M football has made some headlines before the 2025 NFL Draft. First, it was Aggie legend Myles Garrett wanting a trade out of the Cleveland Browns organization, only to sign with the Browns, making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Then, it was Shemar Stewart putting up some of the most insane combine performances in NFL history. Stewart was seen as an instant freak athlete, later making a bold warning of doom to any NFL GM's that look the opposite direction of him.
Now, it's Nic Scourton who's drawing headlines as someone who has committed to changing his body for the better.
Scourton losing weight will affect his draft stock for the greater good
Since the end of the Aggie football season, Scourton talked about when the topic of his weight and how he's more committed to taking care of his body now that his days in the NFL are about to begin.
When a reporter asked the question about how most weight he lost, it was clear that Scourton is serious about his dedication to the football field.

"I'd say like 20 to 25 pounds, and I don't think it was purposeful. I think it was just living the right way, eating the right things, you know, getting the right amount of sleep."Nic Scourton
He also said while weight wasn't as much of a factor as some people think, Scourton said it was more of his own personal choices that led to his body in the past.
"The weight wasn't an issue, I think it was just like how my body was. I wasn't really getting enough sleep, I wasn't eating at the times I've should've eaten. "Nic Scourton

No matter what he weighs, he's looking more explosive by the day, and his stock will rise with NFL GM's giving him plenty of grace for how he's treating his body.
