We sometimes hear it on TV. The game within the game. That's already been set thanks to a rivalry that's quietly been around already.

Taurean York and DJ Lagway are already the talk of the town, and it's easy to see why this mini rivalry might take a new level come Saturday night. In high school, York went to Temple, and Lagway went to Willis. These two guys know each other very well, and they got into it last year when the two teams were about to go to the locker room for halftime.

Not much happened other than just the typical trash talk, but Luke Evangelist from TexAgs decided to remind fans what exactly happened last season.

Taurean York-DJ Lagway rivalry is the game within the game

York has won the last two meetings against Lagway, so Aggies fans should be aware Lagway is going to take this game personally, and this could very well be a fourth quarter fight between the Gators and Ags. Of course, DJ grew up an Aggie fan, too— so that plays in even more.

We fully expect the two guys to run into each other and for tensions to be high, but as long as none of the Aggies have to contribute to the Cabo fund with any dumb penalties, let your presence be known.

We fully expect Lagway to be much better than what he was last year. Even though Florida hasn't started the way they've wanted to, the Gators just got a win against top 10 Texas. Even though most Aggies fans will agree that Texas wasn't ever a top 10 to begin with, this is still a Florida team that fans have to take seriously.

The Aggies' defense has been on point the last two weeks, and all eyes will be on Lagway and York the whole time.

The high school beef never went anywhere, and if anything, it only got more spicy. The 12th Man will have the Aggies' back, and it's a test for Lagway to see what he can do under the lights at Kyle.
