The Texas A&M Aggies are going into the season with high expectations. With the additions of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, this gives second-year quarterback Marcel Reed the weapons he needs for the offense to fly. With Terry Bussey set to begin his sophomore season, he might become one of the surprises on the A&M roster.
During SEC Media Days, we've heard nothing but positive comments coming from the media. SEC Network host Laura Rutledge essentially stated that the rest of the SEC would be in shambles if Texas A&M plays to its full potential.
The Aggies are gaining steam across Pro Football Focus and the rest of the SEC media. Now, across the board, the Aggies are ranked top 10 in major position groups.

Having a No. 3 offensive line is precisely what helped take Johnny Manziel to new heights. We're not saying Marcel Reed is going to win the Heisman, but his sophomore leap has the potential to shine. Trey Zuhn III and Ar-maj Reed-Adams have a great chance to climb on the 2026 NFL Draft board, and Reed-Adams is one of the best run-blockers in college football. This opens the door for Le'Veon Moss to have a career year and perhaps grow his draft stock.
The Texas A&M defense was ranked as the ninth-best defense in the country by PFF. The bad news? Texas has extreme hopes this season to win a national championship, and was ranked second on defense.
The linebackers for Texas A&M are as experienced as they get. Taurean York has been constantly listed as one of the best at his position for quite some time. He pairs up with Scooby Williams, who has plenty of reps under his belt already.
Simply put, Texas A&M is in a prime position for a College Football Playoff berth. All Mike Elko needs to do is put the right pieces on the field for that to happen.
