Texas A&M football receiving top billing from ESPN ahead of Aggies' showdown with Longhorns
Texas A&M football will play their top rival this weekend for the first time since 2011, and the anticipation is at an all-time high. That's not just because the two rivals are reuniting for the first time in forever, either: there's nothing less than a berth in the SEC championship on the line between these two.
This is everything the Aggies hoped it would be coming into the season, in other words: everything is on the line in this game. The winner is headed to Atlanta, and the loser may be eliminated from playoff consideration: if it were Texas, they would have zero good wins, and if it were A&M, they would have four losses.
So naturally, the coverage is set to be absolutely top-tier for this game—and it will be wire-to-wire. As ESPN announced last week (at a somewhat inopportune time, as many remember), College Gameday is set to be in College Station this weekend—ending the season right where they began it.

They have already announced the guest picker; Texas A&M graduates and Youtube sensations Dude Perfect will help the panel pick games before the early kickoff slate.
It's not just the early morning that will showcase Texas A&M football prominently, either. The Aggies' game will be the main feature of the college football weekend for the biggest slate of the year—in a year that has had some record-breaking viewership numbers.
