Texas A&M football set to rock fan-favorite look against Auburn this Saturday
Texas A&M football will roll out Icy Whites against Auburn in this weekend's pivotal game
Texas A&M football is rolling with a fan-favorite look this weekend against Auburn.
The Aggies have been switching up their uniform combination every week this year, a refreshing change from years of the same outfit every single week. Earlier this year, the Ags trotted back out the all-white uniforms for the first time in 7 years when they played Florida, winning against the Gators 33-20.
The Ags have announced that they will be wearing the same combination against Auburn this weekend—with one twist. The Aggies wore maroon facemasks against the Gators, but are going with the white facemasks this time.
The Ags used to have an unblemished record in the "icy whites" since they began to wear them, but that has since gone by the wayside. Still, the record is still pretty impressive when they go with this color combination. Here are the games in which they've worn the all-whites since 2012:
2012 Bama: W
2012 OU: W
2013 Ole Miss: W
2014 SC: W
2014 Bama: L
2014 WVU: W
2015 Ark: W
2015 Ole Miss: L
2017 UCLA: L
2024 UF: W
That's a 7-3 record overall in this uniform.
There's something to the "look good, play good" mantra for sure, but I think most fans just care about coming out of this weekend with a win. To do so, they may have to muddy up these uniforms a little bit with some strong tackling, which I have identified as the biggest key to this game for the Aggies.
Here's hoping A&M has moved to 8-3 in this look by late Saturday night.
