How Texas A&M can finish with no. 1 recruiting class in 2027: Add a monster pass-rusher

Texas A&M has a couple of big names at EDGE that are currently taking a long look in their direction. The biggest would be the no. 9 prospect in the country, Zyron Forstall. The pass-rusher out of IMG Academy is originally from Louisiana, but he's been predicted to land with the Aggies in recent days.

Forstall is one of the best players in the country regardless of position— it's him and Ohio State commit DJ Jacobs battling for the designation of America's top pass-rushing prospect in the upcoming cycle. Landing him in this class, as the Aggies have been forecasted to do, would be a massive move.

The Aggies are also a strong contender with Maryland edge rusher Anthony Sweeney. The Olney, MD product has the Aggies in his top group, and defensive coordinator Lyle Hemphill recently went in-home with him in their continued push for his signature.

Sweeney ranks as the no. 18 overall prospect in America. If the Aggies add one or both of these edge-rushing prospects, they'll be in great shape at the position, and it will get them even closer to the no. 1 overall class.
