With Texas A&M football just a month away from a highly anticipated 2025 kickoff, Marcel Reed answered the question that everybody was wondering about, or in this case, concerned about.
During media availability in late July, Reed answered the million-dollar question of whether he was working on his passing accuracy or if he was going to be a runner. Fans and critics have called for Reed to work on his passing to help balance his rushing attack. Of course, he's had all offseason to do this, and with the additions of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, this might look like a career year for Reed if he progresses like we expect him to.
Now, the Texas A&M football 'X' account is taking shots at Reed's haters amid calls for him to improve his passing ability. It appears everyone is confident that Reed can take that second-year leap that fans have been expecting, and they silenced the critics in the most petty way possible.
Marcel Reed throws bomb to Mario Craver to help shut down the critics
The Aggies football 'X' account threw out a slow-motion video of Reed throwing a bomb to Craver. Yeah, OK, it was practice, but the concern from critics was about his accuracy, and the social media team did their job to highlight that.
wait, we thought @Marcel10Reed wasn't a passer? pic.twitter.com/z0dfHn9MwV

Another rep for Collin Klein and Reed will hopefully erase the baggage from the 2024 offense. The offense had to transition from Conner Weigman to Reed midseason, which is difficult for any coach to install in their playcalling. The Aggies basically went from a pure passing philosophy to a dual-threat attack.
The bowl loss to USC last season proved that Reed needed to work on his passing, and he knew that. He's been taking months to perfect his style, and if he continues to do so into the season, he will end up leading the sleeper playoff team that everyone has been talking about.
Reed seems like the mild-mannered guy to lead in silence, but this was still a golden opportunity for the Aggies' social media team to show off Reed's accuracy.
