Texas A&M spring game takeaways: Receivers may be just as good as last year
Last season was a veritable renaissance for Texas A&M at the receiver position compared to how things had looked in years previous. The additions of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion were massive in aiding Texas A&M in the pass game, but with KC heading to the draft as a potential first-rounder, the worry is that A&M could dip back down into the valley they were in previously.
It does not look like that worry will come to pass, thankfully. Isaiah Horton was turning the first half of the spring game into his own personal highlight tape, making multiple contested grabs for the Maroon team and wowing Aggie fans in the process.
He will serve as a great complement to Mario Craver's skillset, as Craver also showed off his amazing run after the catch ability that A&M fans have become so familiar with. Horton can pull down the tough catches, and Craver can shake any corner in the country with his route-running.
Aaron Gregory showed some flashes as well, but Brandon Arrington did a great job in coverage on him throughout the day— more on that later. Ashton Bethel-Roman made a key grab as well, and we haven't even seen a guy like Jerome Myles yet. The position is in good hands going forward.
