Tons of new faces will be on the field for the Texas A&M Aggies, and that includes Nebraska tight end Nate Boerkircher.

Boerkircher is more of a blocker than a receiver, as he's only recorded making as many as six receptions in a season. The tight end room for Texas A&M looks more deeper than last year, and whether or not that means more reps for the tight ends remains to be seen, but there is plenty of size within that group.

Boerkircher talked to reporters and may have subtly revealed the script for what's at TE this season for Texas A&M. Theo Melin Ohrstrom was the main man at TE last season, and according to Boerkircher, that may just be the case once again.

Melin Ohrstrom may still likely be the go-to TE for Marcel Reed

This doesn't come as a surprise, as Reed and Melin Ohrstrom developed a solid connection in 2024. Even though Melin Ohrstrom didn't get a lot of action either. But when he did, his threat inside enemy territory didn't go unnoticed.

"In our room, I see a lot of versatility. You know, with Theo, he's got everything. He's great."

Boerkircher leaks the script by only bringing up Melin Ohrstrom's name when discussing the TE group. The veteran Amari Niblack is still one to watch as someone who has racked up a ton of grabs over his career. Both guys will still have a chance to get a decent amount of reps, but this position group has been known to be a toss-up for the entire summer.

For anyone deciding to go into far left field on the TE issue, Collin Klein mentioned Boerkircher as someone who's an "all-around player." Even though he likely won't be the tight end to get the most looks from Reed, maybe Boerkircher can still break through to get more reps.

"I think (Nate) is an all-around player. I think his movement skills are extremely good. Very football savvy, he's played a lot of football. He's got great body control and balance to be able to stay on blocks. "

Melin Ohrstrom might be one of the more underrated Aggies in general in 2025. The transfer tight ends look like they have tons to offer, but Melin Ohrstrom has been in the system with Reed long enough for fans to trust him as Reed's main TE option going forward.
