Texas A&M is set to take on Mississippi State tonight at Kyle Field in the second game of their three-game home stand, and the Aggies are going all out for this one.
Not only is this a night game at Kyle Field, but it's a blackout game for A&M— something that looks like it's becoming a yearly tradition under Mike Elko, much to the elation of most Aggie fans. The A&M faithful are feeling very confident coming into this one, and most are ready for a party in Kyle Field.
Vegas sees things going the same way, as the line has been moving in only one direction since it opened earlier in the week. It's getting to the point that a lot of Aggie fans are balking at the idea that A&M may cover in this one, simply because the line is so high for an SEC game.
Final odds and predictions for Texas A&M football vs Mississippi State: Aggies set to roll in College Station
Fanduel's current line for this game favors the Aggies by 17.5 points, which is one of the largest yet the Aggies have seen in an SEC game under Mike Elko. That's up 3 points from Tuesday, when it was just over two touchdowns.
Given the injuries that the Bulldogs have sustained, this seems pretty easily explicable, but it's still a high spread in the first place. The Aggies could easily roll by this much for a lot of this game, but it's another thing to hold a lead like that if a team is furiously trying to score late in the game.
I think we see the Aggies actually cover in this one. Though the spread is considerable, I'm going to stick with my prediction from earlier in the week and say that Texas A&M wins this game 41-17.
