The Marcel Reed disrespect has officially gotten way out of hand

They're not even hiding it anymore.

The Texas A&M Aggies have gotten plenty of praise this offseason for their work in the portal, as well as their returners.

The biggest question will be if Marcel Reed can take the leap that Conner Weigman couldn't. Sure, Weigman was injured and put in a tough position anyway, but Reed's running ability helped set the tone for the rest of the offense to follow.

Reed is a rising star in college football, but plenty of those in the SEC media don't appear to think so. The disrespect for Reed has gotten to an all-time high, and they aren't even hiding their narrative anymore.

Reed continues to be disrespected in SEC QB rankings

As CBS Sports' Josh Pate says "prove me wrong," in regards to the quarterbacks ranked low like Reed. We understand he has a lot to prove, considering the second-half of A&M's season didn't go so well, including a complete collapse against USC.

This isn't the first time that Reed has been disrespected in the SEC QB rankings. Take a look at this from "The Next Round" on X.

Aggie fans would probably agree with LaNorris Sellers. After all, he torched the Aggies defense, a unit which could not get him to the ground. A lot of these quarterbacks haven't taken many meaningful snaps, which makes some of these rankings look confusing.

Jackson Arnold struggled heavily at OU, and now, he's expected to lead the way for Auburn? John Mateer was a three-star recruit that transferred from Washington State, and all of a sudden he's ranked right behind Sellers?

This is pure disrespect at Reed after getting the chance to watch him play meaningful snaps next season. With the offensive line ranked as one of the best in college football, this means everything for Reed to take a ginormous leap in his first year as a full-time starter.
