Three players who Texas A&M fans will hate seeing in another uniform: Rylan Kennedy
This was an unexpected portal entry among most Texas A&M fans. Kennedy had seen quite a bit of run over the last two seasons, and the redshirt junior seemed to be directly in line for a starting spot this fall. The Aggies have filled the defensive end spot quite well thanks to a productive portal cycle and the rise of Marco Jones, but this is a player that most of the Aggie faithful would have liked to stay around.
Kennedy was a late riser in the 2023 cycle and A&M got in early, but they had to battle off a furious run from the Longhorns to get the defensive end signed. He flashed quite a bit of potential in his snaps in that year's Texas Bowl, while the Aggies had an extremely depleted roster, and has been behind guys like Nic Scourton and Cashius Howell since that point.
It seemed like Kennedy would be the next man up, but he had other ideas. He's now down at Florida State, hoping to help turn things around for Mike Norvell, leaving A&M fans a bit sore over his departure. It could have been worse if Mike Elko hadn't been prepared, but the head man for Texas A&M had his head on a swivel and was able to bring in some major talent at that spot to help account for this loss.
