Texas A&M football will have their annual Maroon and White spring game this Saturday, with fans slated to catch a glimpse of the Aggies' 2026 squad for the first time in Kyle Field. Texas A&M will be down a few key players due to injury, and we can't expect the most polished level of play in the world, of course, but this will still be an interesting look at a few factors for this upcoming year.

Here are three big things for Aggie fans to look out for in this Saturday's scrimmage.

Spring game factors to watch for Texas A&M football: Who steps up at the corner position?

With Dezz Ricks sidelined this spring due to injury, the main reps at corner have gone to Georgia transfer Julian Humphrey and Tennessee transfer Rickey Gibson. Both have had excellent spates of play in the past, but if and when Ricks comes back, there can only be one of them on the field at a time, as Dezz has the other spot completely locked down.

I've favored Gibson throughout the spring, as I am of the opinion that he was a complete steal out of the portal from the Tennessee Volunteers, but Humphrey has reportedly made a strong case for himself as well. He's been physical at the spot, which you need out of an SEC defensive back, but not without compromising his excellent cover skills.

The wild card here is true freshman Brandon Arrington. The five-star athlete that the Aggies signed out of California in the previous cycle looked to be pretty raw coming in, but his physical traits are completely undeniable. He, along with an entire cadre of young redshirt freshmen, will also be players to keep your eyes on as the Aggies play this weekend.

There should be plenty of opportunity for rotation in this one, and we'll get to see how much guys like freshman receiver Aaron Gregory can live up to the hype as well. If the corner play is what we expect, though, it could be a long day for the receivers.
