Texas A&M is set to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks this weekend in their second road trip of the season. There's a lot of motivation on the Arkansas side of things to come out of this one with a win, but the Aggies aren't taking anything for granted here.
This is an opponent that A&M is manifestly better than, and that will show up in a huge way tomorrow. Here are three reasons Texas A&M will demolish the Razorbacks this Saturday.
Why Texas A&M demolishes Arkansas: Texas A&M runs over swiss-cheese Arkansas defense
This has been the biggest mismatch so far on paper in the lead up to this game. The Aggies are one of the most effective running teams in the nation, while the Razorbacks are among the country's worst when it comes to stopping the run.
There's some worry about the field conditions— though people often assume bad weather means the better rushing team will win, it's actually harder for blockers to hold their ground and runners to make effective cuts— but I think Texas A&M is good enough to fight through that. The Razorbacks don't match up physically and are generally undisciplined schematically, so the run game should take over quickly.
Being without Le'Veon Moss is a huge blow for the Aggies, but their stable of backs is up there with the best in the country. Rueben Owens, Jamarion Morrow, Amari Daniels, and EJ Smith are more than up to the task for the Aggies in this one.
