Texas A&M football can emerge victorious if they do these three things.

Three reasons Texas A&M takes down Auburn: Aggies contain passing attack

Shutting down Cam Coleman is easier said than done, as Texas A&M found out last year. However, Jackson Arnold's issues pushing the ball downfield are clear and evident, so keeping him covered up for a few minutes at a time could be all that's needed.

Dezz Ricks and Will Lee have quite the job cut out for themselves with this assignment. It's not just the former Aggie commit Cam Coleman, either— Georgia Tech transfer Eric Singleton has yet to really break out for the Tigers and could be looking to step into the spotlight with this game.

Auburn will be missing their third-leading receiver in Horatio Fields, of course, but there's still a lot for the Aggie secondary to watch out for. If they do what I predicted in the last point, though, this will get a whole lot easier— if Arnold doesn't have the time to throw, then this could get a whole lot easier.

On balance, this is a point of worry for the Aggie secondary coming into this game given what Notre Dame was able to accomplish against A&M through the air. Malachi Fields is a similar build to Coleman, though not as athletically gifted, so the Aggies will have to be significantly more locked in against him.

I have faith in Ricks and Lee, coming off of a bye week, to perform well here. Ricks may be the better option given his excellent start to the year, but Lee matches up better physically (as much as one can with a guy like Coleman) with Auburn's top pass-catcher.
