Top ten players on Texas A&M's roster show soaring hopes for Aggies' 2025 year

With game day growing ever nearer for Texas A&M football, it's time to bring this preseason countdown of the Aggies' top players to a close with the final ten. A&M has an extremely deep roster, as we've seen over the past weeks, but the play of this top ten will dictate how the season goes in College Station.

So who made the cut? If you've been following closely, the names that have yet to pop up will provide some hints, but even if not, I'm sure you already have some good guesses. Let's dive into the top ten players on Texas A&M's roster.

10. RB Rueben Owens

Owens has been a favorite projection of many insiders to explode this season. A five-star signee out of Southeast Texas, he showed plenty of promise in his first season, even if he went down too easily at times.

There was a lot of buzz around Owens last season— the kind that Ashton Bethel-Roman has been getting during this camp— but he unfortunately sustained an injury in fall camp that kept him out for the majority of the year. Even after he returned, following intense rehab, for the final two games, he wasn't anything like his former self, as he was honestly still in the midst of the recovery process.

Now, he looks to be one of the top running backs in the A&M stable and a key piece for the Aggies' prospectively deadly rushing attack. If Owens can live up to the hype and his pedigree as a recruit, it will mean that, absent a bevy of injuries, A&M will have one of the best rushing attacks in the nation.
