Texas A&M football fans have loved the way this 2027 class has been shaping up, as it seems all but certain that it will end up as the top class in the nation. One such recruit is five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who many thought would end up in the maroon and white following several expert predictions to do so. Though he was trending towards the Aggies pretty heavily for some time, he came to campus and then left without committing, which was a sign that many fans were not happy with.
Add to that that an expert prediction came down the pike not long afterwards for Henderson to commit to Notre Dame, and the dismaying portents just kept piling up. However, a completely unexpected piece of news just emerged that could flip this recruitment on its head.

Most thought that, if Henderson made his way to South Bend, he would be ending up as a member of the Fighting Irish. That’s why the upcoming visit to Notre Dame was seen as such a bad sign for Aggie fans— but now, with this recruitment date coming before he commits, this could signal great things.
Henderson’s athletic ability far outweighs any other linebacker prospect in the nation. He’s a true middle linebacker with dynamic traits that can stay at the position rather than transitioning into a smaller edge rusher, which is what happens in far too many cases with these high-profile prospects.
The Aggies need this exact archetype on their team, which is why this is such a pivotal recruitment for this staff. Henderson will be committing at 12:15 tomorrow live on Pat McAfee’s show, which Aggie fans will no doubt be looking forward to intensely.
Texas A&M will either be truly elated or completely downtrodden come tomorrow afternoon. With John Meredith trending away and scheduled to commit on Friday, the Aggies need a big win this week— and it could just end up being Henderson if all goes according to plan.
