Texas A&M football is prepping for their annual Maroon and White spring game this Saturday, where two squads will face off against each other to cap off the spring period for football. The game had been scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, but with inclement weather creeping into the area, the Aggies announced today that that time frame has been shifted up to 11 AM.

The game is still free admission to all who decide to come out to Kyle Field, and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.

There are a huge number of players being held out for this game, so fans hoping to get a picture of overall team ability won't be able to do that— not that you can do that with normal spring games anyway, but the absences only highlight that reality.

Texas A&M Maroon and White spring game time pushed back due to inclement weather

Weather is supposed to move into the College Station area starting around 3 PM, with winds picking up significantly right around that time as well. If the wind speed is a factor before the rain comes down in earnest, fans can no doubt expect to see huge amounts of speculation on what the resultant inaccurate passes mean for the quarterback position going forward like we did a few years ago.

In all seriousness, the Aggie faithful looking on at this game will be tracking several storylines, not least of which has to do with the new system in place on the offensive side of the ball. Holmon Wiggins will not be tipping his hand entirely, but it's worth keeping an eye out for whatever changes may be made.

Marcel Reed's progression is big here as well. If he's comfortable in the pocket, fans would love to see him dealing to his receivers, but having to split up the OL between two teams is usually a recipe for a lot of pressure on the part of the defense.

The biggest hope, of course, is for no injuries. Texas A&M has had good fortunes there recently, so hopefully those continue as we go forward.
