The transfer portal has officially opened up, which means another member of the Texas A&M Aggies has left.
Young wide receiver Izaiah Williams has decided to enter the portal. The WR from Tampa, Florida, didn't really get the opportunities he was hoping for. Still, when you trail the depth chart behind Mario Craver, KC Concepcion, Ashton Bethel-Roman and Terry Bussey, you don't have much room to grow.
This seems like the best decision for both parties, and even though Texas A&M is still in the Cam Coleman sweepstakes, there's a clear message that the Aggies need a specific receiver to fit the system.
Texas A&M WR Izaiah Williams enters transfer portal
BREAKING: Texas A&M WR Izaiah Williams intends to enter the transfer portal.

He has had a few notable performances this season and has 9 catches for 86 yards and a TD in 10 career games.
He’s got lots of potential. Sad to see him go, but totally get it from a playing time POV. pic.twitter.com/L90mwLKjpr
Williams did come through for the Aggies during the ferocious comeback against South Carolina, where he had three catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. Other than that, he played in the Samford game, where he had four catches for 14 yards.
At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Williams can become an efficient slot receiver, but Texas A&M is obviously looking for a taller, wider guy. Texas A&M already has plenty of speedsters, and it'd be nice to have a cheat code like a Mike Evans-type receiver.
This was the best move for both sides, as Williams has an opportunity to shine somewhere else. He's a former 4-star WR, and he can still live up to those expectations at a rebuilding school, like Oklahoma State. New head coach Eric Morris is looking for talent that matches Williams' type perfectly.
We all wish Izaiah the best on his college football journey and hopes he gets everything he wants!
