Aggie Offense Catches Fire Late Again

Wednesday

Wednesday night’s affair was a much closer contest, but the Aggies came out victorious 7-4. The Vaqueros took a 3-0 lead heading into the home half of the 3rd as the Aggies just couldn’t seem to get something going.

Catcher Cole Bedford finally broke the ice with an RBI single in the bottom of the 3rd and the Maroon and White were off to the races. A fielding error would allow a second run to score that inning, cutting the deficit to 1.

Senior shortstop Austin Homan tied the game on an RBI ground out in the 4th , scoring Blake Kopetsky. The game would remain tied until the bottom of the 6th.

Once again, freshman Logan Foster came in clutch. He delivered a two-out, two-run triple to give the Aggies the lead. Cole Bedford, who has recently been swinging quite the hot bat, followed it up with an RBI single to score Foster to give the Aggies a 6-3 lead.

The Aggies would tack on one more in the 8th and ultimately get the win 7-4 on Wednesday to close out the midweek sweep of the Vaqueros.
