NCAA Tournament Snubs
The most notable teams left out of the NCAA Tournament would figure to be NIT Bound. Projected NIT No. 1 seeds Illinois State and Syracuse both missed the cut for the big dance.
It seems like the selection committee favored the smaller conference schools for the double digits seeds. That means teams like California, Iowa, and Clemson are all going to be waiting for the NIT results later tonight. The best news on Selection Sunday for NIT hopefuls is that there didn’t seem to be many shocking omissions from the NCAA Tournament, that keeps the NIT field as open as possible.
