Texas A&M Baseball: Aggies Kick Off SEC Play Against Kentucky

After many weeks of tinkering the lineup and inserting new players the Aggies are ready to settle in and take on their conference schedule.
One notable line up change this past week was Shewmake’s move to third base midway through Tuesday night’s game. Shewmake has some previous experience playing third. That coupled with his tremendous athleticism gives confidence that he will step up and perform at any position Coach Childress assigns him. His move is likely temporary and Gutierrez should return to the hot corner this weekend. But you never know.
Shewmake said post-game, “I think we lost focus that inning. It wasn’t one person. It was everybody as a whole.” If the Aggies can take care of the ball defensively then their high-powered offense will take care of everything else.
