SEC Series

Home: Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina

Away: Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi St, Arkansas

Half of the SEC teams that Texas A&M will face this upcoming year appeared in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Highlighting the list are both participants in the 2017 NCAA Championship Series: the Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers. Somehow the Aggies will face both these teams at home with the backing of the 12th Man. Expect both weekend series to be extremely competitive.

The Gators are the preseason No. 1 team in the country while the Tigers are ranked No. 9 according to the USA Today Coaches Poll. Additionally, the Aggies will match up against three other teams ranked in the preseason poll: the No. 6 Arkansas Razorbacks, No. 15 Mississippi St Bulldogs and No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels.

Last year, Texas A&M struggled more in conference play, posting a 16-14 record in SEC play after going 23-13 and 20-10 in the previous two years.

Rob Childress leads a very talented Texas A&M roster led by Pre-Season All American Braden Shewmake. After a breakout freshman season, Shewmake will move over to shortstop and look to be one the premier players in the Southeastern Conference.

The pitching staff will be led by key returning members Cason Sherrod and Kaylor Chafin who both announced that they would be returning to College Station after being selected in the MLB Draft.
