Auburn pitching

Friday night starter Casey Mize leads the Tigers in multiple categories, including opposing batting average (.119), strikeouts (38), walks (3) and hits allowed (10). Mize also leads the team in wins with four. For an offense that struggled to get the bat on the ball on Tuesday, Mize isn’t exactly who you’d like to see in game one of a series. Mize verses Stephen Kolek will be an interesting matchup to keep your eye on.

On Saturday, sophomore Davis Daniel will take the mound for Auburn. Daniel ranks in the top five of several Tiger categories. Opposing teams are batting .309 against Daniel. He has given up 21 hits and five walks across 16.0 innings. Daniel will be throwing opposite John Doxakis.

A Sunday starter has yet to be named for the Tigers, but Mitchell Kilkenny will take the mound for the Aggies. Kilkenny’s 1.30 ERA is second on the team to Doxakis. He leads the team in strikeouts with 29.
