The Texas A&M Football team will have a mid-season matchup at home vs. Auburn

Auburn Football’s day has come and gone, and Gus Mahlzon is no longer the head coach for the Tigers. Bryan Harsin will take over in Auburn, Alabama, hoping to recapture some of the success that his predecessor saw in the early 2010s.

Overall, the series between these two teams has been pretty back and forth over the past few years, with the Aggies taking the most recent game by a 31-20 margin. It’ll be interesting to see how Harsin impacts the culture of the Tigers.

For now, this should be a win for Texas A&M, but don’t expect Auburn to roll over and lose this game. It’ll still be a tight matchup, as Auburn returns quite a bit of talent, including their quarterback in Bo Nix and a handful of starting offensive linemen.

Auburn’s offense has potential, so this could be another close game between these two programs.  That said, their defense has taken a huge step back, so this could be a favorable matchup depending on how A&M’s offense has developed to that point in the season.

That said, if the Aggies can’t get their offense going by the midpoint of the 2021 season, this one could get ugly in College Station.
