Texas A&M hasn’t had much luck against the Alabama Crimson Tide in recent years. Specifically, Alabama has beaten the Aggies in each of the past eight seasons. The only win that Texas A&M has secured since joining the SEC was in their first season with the conference.

The Aggies are so far behind in this rivalry that the first recommended question to come up when searching the rivalry is as follows.

Has Texas A&M ever beat Alabama?

But Jimbo Fisher is determined to change that. The Texas A&M Football team will no longer be satisfied with occasionally having a ranked season and a bowl win — this program wants all of the glory.

Texas A&M Football HC Jimbo Fisher had strong words to say about Alabama

Seeing as how the Crimson Tide have beaten the Aggies in eight consecutive years, this rivalry needed a little bit of juice. Unfortunately, Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban are good friends, so there is no bad blood between the two.

That said, their friendship wouldn’t stop Fisher from poking at Alabama during the Texas A&M Coaches’ Night on Wednesday, May 5th.

During one of their many outings, Fisher was asked about the key to beating Alabama. The question, asked by a fan, mentioned Saban’s retirement as one of the only means for Texas A&M to get a victory.

Fisher smiled and jokingly replied by saying that they’re going to beat his a** even while he’s there, followed by reiterating how good of friends the two are. And while this comment wasn’t necessarily meant as a jab at ‘Bama, it gets fans thinking about his year’s game between these two powerhouse programs.

Here are three reasons why TAMU vs Alabama will be game of the year in 2021.
