Texas A&M 2023 QB Target No. 2: Marcel Reed (Nashville, TN)

Perhaps the tough part about this class at the quarterback position is that the state of Texas doesn’t have the usual abundance of passing talent that we’ve become accustomed to seeing. Rather than having their pick of the litter, Texas A&M will have to venture out of state.

As things stand, there is only a single nationally ranked quarterback from the state of Texas in Jackson Arnold, who seems like a pretty secure commit to Oklahoma.

For this reason, we turn our attention to Marcel Reed, another player who has an offer to play football in Aggieland.

Reed is a four-star passer with offers from Georgia, Ole Miss, Miami, and a handful of others. At 6’1″, he’s relatively small for the quarterback spot but makes up for it with sheer athleticism — Reed is also a basketball player at the high school level.

As things stand, the Aggie prospect isn’t leaning toward any individual school. This is a player who is still a big possibility for A&M.
