2. Texas A&M football QB Haynes King has Manziel-like potential on the ground

Before you grill me in the comments about comparing King to Johnny Manziel, I am not saying that he can be as good as Manziel. Johnny Football was a different kind of player, he was his own sort of breed. However, the current starting quarterback plays similar to him.

Having a quarterback running 22 miles per hour is a pretty rare thing. Texas A&M might have the fastest backfield in the country with King’s running ability and Devon Achane’s track speed. It’s no secret that King likes to run around, and if he can stay healthy, he could rip off some big gains like he has in the past.

The redshirt sophomore invites contact before going down, so he could also be a big goal line threat than people think. This offense will be fast because of him. His speed will tire out defenses quicker and provide opportunities for designed QB runs, making this offense even more versatile than it already is.

Manziel changed games because of his legs. King has the chance to do the same. If Fisher can take some things from the Manziel era and implement them into this team, and make it work, this team has a chance to be special.
