The Aggies have had a crazy offseason of recruits all over the field. The Aggies just secured 5-star cornerback Brandon Arrington despite flirting with other offers. It didn't seem like that was the way for 4-star edge rusher, Tristian Givens, but he decided to make it crystal clear anyway.

On pass defense, this guy is amazing, but on run defense, he's known for stopping runners in an instant for no gain. He has explosive athleticism that this coaching bunch is going to love working with.

Givens said it as clear as concise as anyone could say. He's here to stay, and despite flirting with Florida State during the process, Aggies everywhere should be pumped.

Tristian Givens sticks with Aggies and shuts down talks with Tennessee and Florida State

Chad Simmons of Rivals had the news that Givens would indeed be an Aggie.

Rivals has listed him as a 4-star player, but 247 Sports listed him with 5. This shouldn't matter at all to Aggies fans, because Givens is an explosive, elite rusher who's here to stay. Texas A&M was predicted to land Givens anyway from earlier in the summer, but now, he makes it official.

Simmons says that Tennessee and Florida State were still in the mix, but he made sure that those other desperate attempts were shot down as quickly as possible.

This is what Givens wanted all along, a chance to be coached by one of the best defensive minds in the game in head coach Mike Elko. This kid could explode in the way that Harold Perkins did his freshman year with LSU. He's that good.

It's a win for the Aggies, but another win for Elko, who's proven that he can snag the big ones and make them stay for good.
