Texas A&M is all but entirely secure in their place as the top recruiting class in the nation for the upcoming cycle. Notre Dame is really the only program that has a chance of catching up to the Ags, but even that would require a heck of a lot of things to fall right for the Irish in the upcoming months.
Texas A&M's class, according to the 247Sports Composite, is the best that any program has had since Georgia in the 2024 cycle— but there's one more big addition that the Aggies are looking to make that would surpass even the Bulldogs' mark from that season.
That's the five-star running back Landen Williams-Callis out of Richmond, Texas. The uber-productive RB for Randle High School has August 1 circled as his decision date, and though there has been heavy momentum for the Aggies in the past, current circumstances have not looked all that friendly for Texas A&M— but with the fateful day right around the corner, the current Aggie commit class is going public with their push to bring him into the fold.

The Aggies don't currently have a running back commit in this class, and Williams-Callis has long been seen as the prize. The diminutive runner out of the Houston area puts up insanely good numbers despite his size, to the point that even the biggest SEC programs have no worry about his durability at the next level.
Williams-Callis is only days away from a decision, so several Aggie commits took to social media to give him their final pitches for him to join up with Texas A&M. First on the ball, as he has been so many times this cycle, was Kaden McCarty, letting LWC know where home is.

Then, five-star safety Kamarui Dorsey, out of Georgia, joined in on the fun, giving his pitch to Williams-Callis as to why he should join up with the maroon and white.

Relationships have helped form this entire class, not only from the coaching staff to the players, but also between all of the commits. You can tell that the sense of community that has formed here is palpable, and it could be enough to swing LWC towards an Aggie commitment when the moment comes.
As for right now, though, that prospect doesn't look bright. Williams-Callis is now heavily trending towards the Longhorns, with a 94% likelihood to commit there per the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine. That's not exactly a rosy picture for the Aggies, but it could well reflect where things actually are.
The reason I hedge there is that Williams-Callis is notoriously circumspect, so not much information about this recruitment has leaked out from the inside. It would seem that another party (like the Texas coaching staff, for example) has let on to the sense of confidence in Austin, as Williams-Callis has not been speaking to reporters much— as he himself said on social media.
We'll find out on Saturday where this one goes, but you can't say the Aggies aren't trying. Even if Williams-Callis ends up committing to the Longhorns, Texas A&M will no doubt stay in pursuit down the stretch.
