Last night, Texas A&M released their initial injury report for the Kentucky game this weekend, and there were quite a few names on there that not only surprised Aggie fans, but got them a little bit worried. RB Jamarion Morrow, WR Ashton Bethel-Roman, DE Anto Saka, and WR TK Norman all appeared as questionable on the initial report, meaning they have roughly a 50% chance to play in Saturday's game.

Elko has mentioned in the previous weeks that Morrow in particular has been dealing with a minor, nagging injury here at the beginning of the year, and fans have been able to see that it has limited his explosiveness a bit thus far in the season. However, ABR and Saka have been getting a good number of snaps, and Saka in particular has looked very effective in his time on the field.
Norman is working his way up the depth chart and has been on the field each of the first two games, but he has some key players ahead of him at this point. He can be a contributor this year if he's able to get onto the field, but this could be a setback for him in that endeavor.

Maybe the biggest news here is that there is no appearance of Daymion Sanford's name on the report. The Aggie linebacker has participated in only one of the two games so far this year, and he was only on the field for special teams snaps in that game.
If Sanford is ready to go, it will be huge for the Aggies' defense, especially in a game like this where the front seven are going to be tested so profoundly. Kentucky will be bringing a very physical run game to College Station, and the Aggies have to be ready to meet that level of physicality.
Sanford is not only uber-athletic, his ability to operate within the defensive scheme is probably the best out of any of the linebackers. Having no. 27 out on the field will be a big help for the Aggies, as he can play at a high level on every down.
The other thing that is telling is the aforementioned presence of Ashton Bethel-Roman on here. Through two games, ABR has recorded only two catches for 13 total yards— fewer than freshman Aaron Gregory or RB Rueben Owens. That's a bit of a slow start for a guy that most thought would be a key part of this passing game throughout the entire year— so the fact that he's dealing with some kind of injury helps explain that somewhat.
If, heaven forbid, all of these players end up missing this game, it could be tough sledding for Texas A&M. They should be able to win nonetheless, thanks to the depth they've built, but it may not look as pretty or as effortless as many Texas A&M fans would like to see in this game against Kentucky.
