The NFL Draft is here, and Texas A&M fans are eager to see who will get picked. There will be plenty of names on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but the name to watch as an elite talent is Day 1, and one college football analyst just predicted something that will have Texas A&M fans jumping up and down.
Desmond Howard of ESPN's College GameDay has officially put respect on KC Concepcion's name, and one NFL team is going to be lucky to say the least. Rece Davis asked the panel to predict the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
"KC Concepcion. A lot of people aren't talking about him. I'm a huge fan. I think he's a guy who can come in and make a difference instantaneously. Not only at the wide receiver, he's going to be hell on wheels in the slot, but as a return man, too. "Desmond Howard
ESPN's Desmond Howard pins KC Concepcion as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2026
Not a bad pick, Desmond.
Texas A&M fans will be giving Howard brownie points for labeling Concepcion as a guy who's not talked about a lot, and Aggie fans, you know very well what he's talking about.
How can Concepcion not be seen as a potential star? He lit up the field last season with 1,409 all-purpose yards, ranking 14th nationally and 12 total touchdowns. Not to mention, he hit a 4.43 40-yard dash to demonstrate his elite running ability.
NFL Draft insider Albert Breer apparently questioned his "maturity" as a factor if his stock takes a tumble. If so, KC hid that pretty well at A&M, but it may have to do with his ultra confidence, for instance, his piece in The Players' Tribune. Either way, none of that should hurt him.
Some lucky team is out there. The Browns, Dolphins and Eagles are around the perfect positions in the 20-32 range, and it's easy to see him picked in the first round.
Shoutout to Howard, Aggies fans will take note of that statement, and say, "this guy knows ball."
