Myles Garrett has been one of the best if not the best defensive player in the NFL for quite a few seasons now, but it all seems to be a bit of a waste playing for a Cleveland Browns team that can't seem to get anything going on offense. Garrett has spent all of his eight years in the league with the Browns, but seems to have had enough as he recently shocked the NFL world with a trade request from the team that drafted him back in 2017.

Garret is a six-time Pro-Bowler, a four-time All-Pro First Team selection, and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award back in 2023. Any team he goes to will immediately improve on the defensive side of the ball. Garrett has 102.5 career sacks, 20 career forced fumbles, and 352 total career tackles.

While Garrett isn't playing in the Super Bowl tomorrow, he is, as are many other NFL stars, in New Orleans for the game and have joined many talk shows and podcasts on Radio Row. Garrett joined FanSided on their Stacking the Box Podcast and spoke with Iain MacMillan and Sterling Holmes about everything from what he does to prepare for the season, to his trade request from the Browns.

Garrett shared a little insight to what he feels gives him a bit of an edge playing the defensive end position, and it's not something fans would think it would be. Garrett does MMA training when preparing for the season and he says it has become invaluable for him.

"That hand work is invaluable," Garrett told FanSided. "The hand-eye coordination, knowing how, and the velocity of placing your hands."

Of course, the biggest question that loomed around this interview, and truly looms around Garrett's career at this moment, is where he will be traded to. Garrett released a very heartfelt trade request announcement, making sure to thank the city of Cleveland and everything they have done for him, but ultimately he has always wanted to win a Super Bowl and doesn't feel as though he is going to do that in a Browns uniform.

Holmes asked what type of weather climate Garrett thinks he would like to go to, maybe even hinting that he could stay in the cold weather and head to the Kansas City Chiefs, and the former Texas A&M Aggie gave the perfect answer.

"Winning weather," Garrett said.

Winning weather fits exactly what Garrett said in his trade request, he wants to go somewhere he has a chance to actually compete for a Super Bowl. Garrett is the type of player any team could build their defense around as he can truly do it all, one-on-one, double team, and sometimes even against a triple team. Garrett was clear about what his ideal situation would be.

"A team that is in need of my services," Garrett said. "A team who is looking forward to contending here soon, and just giving us the opportunity to win on the next stage and I just want more opportunities for that."

Texas A&M fans may love a potential return to the state of Texas for Garrett, which would mean a trade to the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston Texans. Either way, Garrett plans to not be in a Browns uniform next season.
