Texas A&M football has gotten through one game without any injuries so far, and Aggie fans everywhere are hoping that that's a trend which continues going forward. However, the Aggies are still missing a few contributors for this upcoming game that either had issues arise in fall camp or in the week of practice headed up to the last game.
Texas A&M is set to be without the following players against Utah State: OT Reuben Fatheree, WR Jerome Myles, and CB Jordan Shaw. Fatheree continues to work his way back from an injury from fall camp, while Myles is out for the year. Shaw's injury is not yet known, but according to an Instagram story he recently posted, he should be back next week.
At this point in the season, of course, it's not the worst to have caution be the better of bravery when it comes to whether or not to put a given player in a game. I don't think Fatheree, Myles, or Shaw will be make-or-break players against Utah State, so even if they were close to returning, there's no point in rushing them.
Injury report: Texas A&M football will be without three players vs. Utah State
Against UTSA, of course, we found out that a few more players would not be participating than we had originally anticipated. That in mind, there's a chance that a few more players emerge from the tunnel not dressed out to play against USU that we have yet to find out about, so fans need to keep that possibility in mind.
As I said, though, it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to this kind of thing this early on in the season. If Texas A&M can let a few players rest in order to have them more ready for the game against Notre Dame next week, that's probably the smart move.
Another article will be posted if more injuries come to light. As of right now, this is all the players who should miss tomorrow afternoon's game.
