Johnny Manziel was A&M fans everywhere after last-second win at Notre Dame

The Aggie legend reacted just like A&M fans across the nation.

Johnny Manziel was following along breathlessly with Texas A&M's huge win over Notre Dame last night, just like Aggie fans across the nationβ€” and when time hit zero with A&M up one, Manziel was as jubilant as any one of the A&M faithful.

The Heisman winner, who led the Aggies to their fair share of huge road wins in his time behind center in College Station, was unafraid to let fly with some excitement on social media after the Aggies' winβ€” some safe for work, some not so safe. But Johnny's excitement reflected well just how overjoyed the A&M world was once Jeremiyah Love was knocked out of bounds on ND's final desperation play.

Johnny Football has become one of the program's most visible supporters in recent years, often showing up for huge games, including being one of the Gameday guest pickers when they came to College Station last year.

Johnny Manziel celebrates huge win over Notre Dame for Texas A&M football, calls for Marcel Reed to be recognized as Heisman hopeful

The first-ever freshman to win the Heisman certainly knows what it looks like for a quarterback to play at a level where they should win the award, and he has officially put Marcel Reed on watch for that honor.

Reed's massive game propelled the Aggie offense to put up 41 points, and they needed every last one of them. This Texas A&M team has been talking for some time about how vital Reed is to this offense, and he's been getting some buzz for the award from his teammates already.

Manziel was also taking up for the Aggies against Notre Dame fans who were petulant over a late-game non-call on the final play, pointing out that the referees had also missed callsβ€” and made some bad callsβ€” that harmed the Ags as well.

It's great to see one of the most notable players from this Aggie team supporting them in such a big game. I think A&M fans across the nation see themselves a little bit in how Johnny was reacting to this massive road victory for Mike Elko and his team
