Longhorns' umpire meltdown triggered by Aggies' triumph over hapless Schlossnagle

You could see this coming from a milion miles away— but that doesn't make it any less funny at all.

Texas A&M baseball just absolutely demolished the Texas Longhorns in Schlossnagle's first return to Blue Bell Park since abandoning College Station for Austin two years ago. It was the moment pictured the way every Aggie had hoped, as Texas A&M was able to destroy the Longhorns' vaunted pitching en route to a dominant 11-run offensive performance.

Texas A&M had a close win yesterday evening where they eventually triumphed by one run, but this afternoon's game looked far different. However, to listen to Longhorn fans after this one concluded, you'd think that Texas A&M had just barely eked out a win that, thanks to the help of the umpires, they had all but stolen from Texas's deserving hands.

This is not new when it comes to this fanbase— Longhorns never saw any excuse they didn't like. But despite its predictability, watching the tears flow from the burnt orange never ceases to bring satisfaction to Aggie fans.

Texas A&M's dominant performance against Texas triggers complete Longhorn meltdown

It was this pitch in the second inning that led to Terrence Kiel getting on base that got the most attention from Longhorn fans, as that play ended up leading to multiple runs when all was said and done:

Of course, this is all very high-minded. It's about the health of the game, after all— the very thing that Texas fans are invested in more than anything else.

There's really only one answer you need to give to this kind of moaning and groaning— one that shows just how ridiculous the complaint is in the first place:

Again, this is not something that surprises any fan that has followed the Longhorn fanbase for any amount of time. This is simply just what they do.

It also adds a really funny note that Schlossnagle was once again being interviewed as an error occurred in his infield.

So great.

Texas A&M will look to add the perfect capper to this series when they take on Texas again at 1 PM central time tomorrow for the finale in Blue Bell Park. Hopefully, we're talking about a clean sweep of this series come this time tomorrow.
