Power ranking the SEC after week 2: #12 Arkansas

b. Previous ranking: 13. 12. . 524. . . . .

Through two games, the Hogs offense looks, at the very least, dangerous. That certainly was not the case over the last two years or so, but bringing Bobby P back to Fayetteville looks like it’s paying off.

Taylen Green and the Razorbacks jumped all over the Oklahoma State Cowboys early on in their matchup in Stillwater. OSU ended up winning in overtime, of course, but Arky certainly looks like they are operating at a much higher level on offense than was possible under previous regimes.

The worry is their ability to get yards in a pinch. So far, when the Hogs needed someone to step up, they’ve been unable to produce. This happened a couple of times in the OSU game on offense, much less on defense—the Razorback defenders all but wilted when they needed a stop against the Cowboys.

The Hogs have a get-right game against UAB at home before they have a three-game stretch of Auburn, A&M, and Tennessee. At best, they’ll probably be 3-3 coming out of that run. It’ll be interesting to see what the temperature of the fanbase is at that point.
