Three reasons Texas A&M football hands Missouri their first loss of the season
Three reasons Texas A&M football will silence Missouri fans with a big win on Saturday
If you weren’t sure that this is a huge game for both Missouri and Texas A&M football, all the chirping by both sides heading up to Saturday should let you be pretty certain of that fact. This is the first ranked matchup for the heretofore-unimpressive Tigers, and the second for the steadily-improving Aggies.
Of course, the last time the Ags faced off against a ranked squad, things went… poorly. So, will this time be any different? Can the Aggies take advantage of this huge opportunity?
It feels like A&M fans have forgotten what it feels like to do so. The last time you can point to is the Alabama win in 2021, but then the Ole Miss game later that season showed the Aggies doing the exact opposite.
But I think there’s a different vibe in this one. Yes, Missouri is a challenge—but it’s one the Aggies can overcome. Here are three reasons why.
Three reasons Texas A&M football beats Missouri: Kyle Field will be in full effect
The smack talk back and forth on both sides has been plentiful headed up to this game, which isn’t something I was anticipating. The Aggies and Tigers have more history between them than they do with most other teams in the SEC (well, other than the newcomers), but not by too much.
But the question of the Aggies’ home field advantage has been raised multiple times here in the past days, and the A&M faithful have essentially been called out. Now, this will be a noon game over fall break, but it’s also a top-10 matchup. I feel confident that Kyle Field will make an impact on this one, and Mizzou will wish they never said anything about the Home of the 12th Man.
