Shemar Stewart is already making the Dallas Cowboys feel guilty for not picking him

Shemar Stewart made a bold move before the 2025 NFL Draft by making GM's pay for not selecting him. Now, he's already making Jerry Jones feel the heat.

With the SEC breaking a record for most players selected by a conference in NFL Draft history, Texas A&M's Shemar Stewart was one of the guys talked about before the draft even started.

Stewart's freakishly athletic combine numbers resulted in his draft stock gaining tremendous strength. With the Cincinnati Bengals selecting Stewart as the 17th overall pick, it won't take long for Bengals fans to realize what an athlete he is.

Stewart has been a man of many words during the combine and leading up to the draft, and he just gave out his first warning to the owner of the most valuable franchise on the planet.

Stewart in 'shock' that Jerry Jones passed up on him

When Tyler Booker was picked up by the Cowboys, it was Stewart who was one of Booker's best cheerleaders.

"When Dallas picked Tyler, I was very happy for him," Stewart said. "That's my dog. I've known him since high school. I'm not a hater. Kudos. I'm happy for him and excited. It was just a shock, I was like, 'OK, I think this is where I'm going, for sure.' But everything happens for a reason, and I feel like God put me here for a reason."

Cowboy fans know from the past that they have paid for passing up on guys who have talked the talk and walked the walk. Just ask them about Thanksgiving Day back in 1998 when rookie Randy Moss torched Dallas on their home turf. Stewart said that he had a great talk with Jerry Jones only for Jones to look the opposite way.

"I had a great meeting with (Dallas owner) Jerry Jones," Stewart said. "The D-line coach texted me a few days out and said he wanted to get on the phone and talk to my dad. He proceeded to reach out to my dad and tells him how much he loves me. So it was a shock to me."

Stewart already issued a stern warning to NFL GM's that look in the other direction. While the Cowboys have a beast of an offensive lineman in Booker, not getting Stewart is not the complete end of the world for the Cowboys. For Stewart to call out Jones will be remembered by Aggie fans as Stewart wanting to make GM's pay for not choosing him, especially when Stewart and the Cowboys had such a promising conversation.
