Texas A&M football has been recruiting lights out in the 2026 cycle, building up their commit class to be the cornerstone of a championship run in the future. However, just because the Aggies have done so well in this cycle doesn't mean that they're mailing it in at all in the future— something we've sadly seen before in College Station.
No, the Aggies are keeping the pedal to the metal, making sure they're a presence early and often in the recruitments of top rising talent around the state of Texas and the nation. The Ags already have two big time commits in the class of 2027, QB Jayce Johnson from Georgia and OT DeMarrion Johnson from Tyler, Texas.
Locking down a huge tackle and quarterback is big for any recruiting class, and Mike Elko made sure his team moved quickly on those fronts. According to a recent report, they're in the running to land a top receiver for the foundation of this 2027 cycle as well.
Texas A&M "keying in" on 2027 WR Tre Moore before junior season begins
Rivals' Sam Spiegelman reported today that the Aggies are one of the top contenders for blue-chip WR Tre Moore out of Pflugerville, Texas:
Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami and Michigan are among the programs keying in on blue-chip 2027 WR Tre Moore as he kicks off his junior season

The latest from Moore: https://t.co/TbF8YmBCGg pic.twitter.com/6kDCIbWMCK
Moore is ranked as a top-100 player nationally in 247's composite ratings, and the 17th overall player in the state of Texas.
Standing at 6'3" and 200 LBs, Moore already has the prototypical size for a top college receiver, and could be a jump-ball threat for years to come in his collegiate career. As you can see from some of the other names on that list, though— Oklahoma, Texas, Miami, and Michigan— this will be no cakewalk.
Of course, we've seen Mike Elko and company stand in the ring with some of the heaviest hitters in the recruiting world time and time again, coming away with their fair share of victories. If they find themselves on the right side of this one, they'll be that much closer to back-to-back elite classes.
There's no set decision timeline for Moore, however, so this one could drag out for a while— he is only a junior, after all. I have a feeling this is a name that Aggie fans should get to know, howv
