Texas A&M fans won't be pleased to hear this.

Texas A&M and Mike Elko are killing it in the recruiting department for 2027. They just picked up four-star WR Jaden Upshaw, and he looks to be the next star in College Station. With that pickup, Elko is looking to have the best recruiting class in 2027. There's still work to do, but they have made some amazing strides.

A&M fans thought they had a win in four-star offensive tackle DeMarrion Johnson. But a recent visit to Austin says otherwise. Jason Suchomel, the editor for Orange Bloods, caught Johnson visiting Texas.

Texas A&M won't like this for obvious reasons, but Johnson himself said he wasn't testing the waters elsewhere. He's got some explaining to do here.

OT DeMarrion Johnson caught visiting Texas after shutting down his recruitment in favor of Texas A&M

The Longhorns have been aggressive with Johnson in the past, even making another visit back in March, but it wasn't enough, and Johnson decided to shut down his recruitment in favor of Texas A&M.

It's one thing to visit Texas, but visiting there after he committed to Texas A&M isn't a good look. A&M fans expect guys to honor their word, and A&M fans will be fumed, or at least confused, that Johnson is still active on the recruiting cycle.

Johnson, or "Big Juice" as they call him, is as big as advertised. He is a freak of nature at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds. He's going to make a heck of a unit along with their other commit, OT Kaeden Scott from San Antonio.

Johnson's trip to Austin deserves some explanation after he made it clear he shut down his recruitment. He's still committed as an Aggie, but for Elko and Co., you can't help but think why he's still making visits.
