Texas A&M's momentum on the recruiting trail is approaching levels we haven't seen since late in the 2022 cycle, and just like that year, the Aggies are challenging for the number one overall class. Texas A&M is locking up visits from top prospects left and right, and nearly every top group for elite prospects includes the Aggies.
Yet another top five was released today from a top-shelf prospect, and the Aggies are right in the thick of things. The top linebacker in the nation, Kaden Henderson, put out his final group, and as Aggie fans should have come to expect by now, Mike Elko's program is right in the middle of this one.

That's a high level of competition for Henderson's signature, as you'd expect— Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Alabama means this is as blue-blood as it gets. And even against that competition, the Aggies should be the clear choice for Henderson.
Texas A&M is clearly the right choice for nation's top linebacker Kaden Henderson
Let's start with the elephant in the room: Rivals' top insider, Steve Wiltfong, has already gone on record saying that he believes the Aggies are going to be the pick for Henderson whenever he goes public with his commitment. That should be enough to boost Texas A&M fans' spirits when it comes to such daunting competition.
Texas A&M is becoming a mecca for elite defensive prospects, as the Aggies are trending for five-star after five-star on that side of the ball in the 2027 cycle. Henderson would be the perfect complement to the lockdown secondary that the Aggies are bringing in for the upcoming year— a guy who can chase down ball carriers with ease and come off the edge with ferocity.
Henderson doesn't have a commitment date set as of right now, but the Aggies are in really great position in this one whenever he does decide to declare. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later, so that the Aggies can keep the momentum going at a high level— for now, this will be an exciting recruitment to watch develop.
